In one motion
The mechanism
01 — ENTER
The cable slips into the rear fold — open along the full 800 mm. No hole. No threading.
02 — ROUTE
It travels the channel beneath the flap and turns the corner in a natural arc.
03 — EXIT
The seam is open along the full height. The cable exits exactly where your port is. Left or right.
04 — CLOSE
Flaps close over the channel. Magnets hold. The surface is unbroken.
To be clear
Clips hold the cable in view. Veia's channel is inside the mat — there is nothing to see.
Nothing hangs off your desk edge. Nothing sits under it. The desk stays a desk.
Nothing sticks, screws, or marks. Lift the mat and the desk is exactly as it was.
A leather surface with a channel inside. That is the whole idea.
The claim
Every cable solution leaves something on the desk — a clip, a cube, a strip, a run of visible wire. Veia leaves the connector — the one part that must physically reach the port. On a standard USB-C plug, that is about twelve millimetres. Take a ruler to it.

The name
Veia is Portuguese, from the Latin root vena — a vein. The channel through which something essential flows. In Portuguese it carries a second meaning: ter veia — a bent, a natural inclination toward something.
The construction descends from the desk blotter — a leather panel, folded, stitched, with an open seam. Blotters used the seam to hold paper. We turned the pocket into a channel, faced the opening toward the wall, and gave the cable a way to disappear.
VEIA/ VAY-ah / — vein, channel · PortugueseFounding run
The first production of Veia is a single run of 300 in Charcoal. Every mat ships with a hand-stamped card recording its number — a record of the run it belongs to.
